Finally, green flag on season

STOCKTON - Ross Strmiska had to wait an extra week to begin the 2012 racing season, and he's anxious to get started.

The Manteca driver and the rest of the SuperModified Racing League's Southwest Tour drivers will be in town to compete in the Spears Manufacturing 125 at 6 p.m. today at Stockton 99 Speedway. The event originally was scheduled to take place last weekend, but track officials postponed the show because of inclement weather.

The Legends and Pro-4 Modifieds also will race on opening day, and promoter Tony Noceti said he expects about 30 Southwest Tour cars.

 

Ticket prices for the evening will be as follows:

General Admission (16+) $25

Juniors (11-15)                 $15

Kids 10 & Under               FREE

Seniors (60+)                    $15

Military (W/ Military ID)     $15

Family                               $65

(2 General + 2 Junior’s)
