Eligibility Tech Information: 209-462-7207
Must be at least 16 years of age with parent waiver in good standing with NASCAR. You must hold a current NASCAR license. If moving up a division to Trucks you will be classified as a rookie for the first year. A rookie must have a yellow stripe across the bottom of the rear window. Contact track officials regarding rookie status.

They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way the guarantee against injury or death to participant, spectators or others.

Truck Specifications: Eligible Models
1972 to current year 4 cylinder mini-truck, as Chevy luv-S10.Ford, Nissan, Courier, Toyota, Mazda, Dodge d50, Note: Ford Ranger and Dodge Dakota Not Allowed. No front wheel or 4 wheel drive trucks allowed standard cab only. No I-beam suspension allowed.

Engine Restrictions
1. Four cylinder engines. Motor must be from a mini truck. Engines must be centered and straight up and down with 1# spark plug no farther than center of upper ball joint. No rotary motors.
2. Compression ratio will not exceed 11 to 1
3. Crank height will be no lower than 10" from center of the crank.
Stock heads only. NO PORTING OR POLISHING. Ports may be gasket matched up to 1/4 inch, no tolerance, BE CAREFUL!
Any header allowed. Exhaust must exit behind driver.
6. ANY INTAKE MANIFOLD ALLOWED.
7. Any ignition allowed.
8. Any radiator allowed. MAY BE MOUNTED FRONT OR REAR OF TRUCK,
All construction and mounting must be approved by tech inspector. Overflow bottles mandatory. Electric fans allowed.
Front frame horns may be modified for radiator clearance.
All trucks must have a working starter.
Carburetor
1. Spec carburetors only. Holly 7448(350cfm) or Holly 4412(500cfm)
2. Spacer or Adapters are allowed no more than 11/2 inch. Adapter must be made of aluminum, plastic. Note: If no carburetor adapter is available for make and model, a fabricated adapter will be allowed.
3. Metal-air cleaner must be on all carburetors. K&N filters allowed. No cold air- boxes or ducting of any kind, no cowl induction. No device intended to direct airflow into carburetor.

Modifications that are allowed

1. A11 choke mechanisms may be removed including choke butterfly.
2. Jets and power valve maybe changed (for tuning purposes).Quick-change jet bowls allowed.
3. Toe straps mandatory.
4. Carbs must be equipped with 2 return springs.
5. Linkage must be mechanical, NO CABLE LINKAGE.
6. Air horns must remain intact.
Frames
Frames maybe cut behind front leafspring mount. A tube frame may be constructed from square, rectangle, or round tubing.

Frames must remain in stock configuration from front leafspring mount to radiator mount
Wheel base minimum will be 102".
4. Track width will be 74” with a ½ tolerance. It will be measured from bulge of the out side of the tire.
Suspension
1. a. One shock absorber per wheel is permitted. Shocks may be relocated. Only Steel Twin tube – Non external Adjust shock allowed. No coil over shocks allowed. B. QA1-Steel twin tube 50 series will be allowed. C. Shocks that are in questioned must have official’s approval before they will be allowed. D. No Mono-tube shocks will be allowed. 2. Weight jacks may be used in the front only. No coil-over shocks, or coil spring sliders allowed. (Front Coil eliminators No Bigger than 3” will be allowed)
3. Afternmarket coil springs allowed.
4. Aftermarket leaf springs allowed.
5. Leaf spring sliders will be allowed.
6. Upper control arms may be tubular. No heim joint adjustable uppers allowed. Shim adjustable upper control arms only.
7. Lower control arms must remain stock and be from frame used. No altering of lower controls except for ball joint replacement.
8. Any OEM spindles may be used. Spindle may be altered to improve performance.

9. Adjustable lowering blocks allowed. Multiple lowering blocks may be used.

10. Frame height will be 4 inches. Height and weight shall be measured with driver.
Rearend.

1. Any OEM style rear-end allowed.

2. Locking devices allowed (welding, spool, etc.)

Brakes

1.4 wheel brakes mandatory. Brake bias devices allowed.

Any OEM brakes allowed. Drum or disc.

Aflermarket master cylinders allowed.

Clutch & Flywheel

Any STEEL flywheel.

Stock OEM clutch and pressure plate, no aflermarket (multi-disc) clutches.
Steering

Any steering allowed.

Steering quickeners allowed.

Heim jointed tie rod ends allowed.

Racing steering wheel with center padding and quick release required. Bumpers

Bumpers shall be constructed of 1 1/2 inch round tubing with a maximum thickness of .095 in. Bumpers shall not be constructed to be battering rams. Bumpers shall be TECH APPROVED.

Bodies

1. Aftermarket or steel bodies with rubber bumper covers allowed must be neat in appearance.

Rear deckled shall fit tight, no holes, slots, or vents.

Spoiler maximum height is 6 inches, and no wider than the bed. Clear lexan only.

Front air-dam minimum height is 4 inches; this includes the sides of the air dam.

Windshield and rear window shall be made of lexan, 1/8 inch minimum. Windshields must have two straps centered in window made of no less than 1inch by 1/8 inch flat bar. No holes in rear window.

Trucks may use fabricated firewalls and floor pans, minimum 22-gauge steel. Floor pan required in driver’s side only.

Miscellaneous

Driveshaft must be steel and painted white. Driveshaft hoop required, 18 inches from front of driveshaft. Driveshaft hoop will be constructed of no less than 2inch by 1/8 inch flat steel. Must be tech approved.

Trucks will be allowed one mirror. Mirror will be centered in cab.
All added weight must be painted white and marked with the truck number.
Truck weight shall be 2250 LBs. for the 2300cc motors. 2400 LBs. for the 2500cc motors. Spec motor trucks shall weigh 2200 LBs. All weights will be with driver. Left side percentage shall be 56%.
All hood pins shall be tethered to truck.

Fuel shall be gasoline only, no methanol, alcohol, or other additive. Fuel cell mandatory. Fuel cell safety and installation must be tech approved. Fuel cell height shall be 10 inches at its lowest point. Electric fuel pumps allowed auto shut-off for fuel pump mandatory.
Roll Cage
1. All trucks must have a four point roll cage the roll bar must form a hoop running through the width of the truck (inside) mounted behind the driver seat. Each roll bar upright must have a brace running upward at approximately 45-degree angle, welded to the frame. Another brace must run side to side between the roll bar uprights. Side roll bars are compulsory and must extend into the door panels (minimum of four on each side) with vertical supports equally spaced. Roll bar material must be of 1 1/2 inch outside diameter.095 inch thickness. All welded joints must have a minimum 1/8 inch thick gusset. No conduit, min walled tubing or cast iron pipe will be permitted. A loop must be installed extending from the forward roll cage uprights to a point no further than the front frame horns, for the purpose of supporting the top of the radiator. Loop to be of the same material and dimension as the roll cage. It may be attached to the frame by no more 3 upright bars per side. Fender brackets, 2 per side, may be welded to this loop. Rear bracing must be installed. Minimum 4 bars straight or X Styled must be mounted from the rear inside hoop down to rear rail, 2 high and 2 low. Further rear bracing is recommended Nerf bars allowed on both sides in rear of truck only. Must be made of roll cage tubing, no other material will be allowed. SEE DRAWING.

Safety
Helmets: All drivers must wear a helmet bearing the 2000 snell memorial Foundation certificates stickers."SA"2000 STICKER MANDATDRY. No "M"sticker,D.Q.T. approved or A.N.S.I. 2000 helmets allowed without accompany "SA" sticker Any helmet with the inside identification labels (sticker) defaced,obliterated or removed will not be approved for competition. A full face type helmet with Lexan shield is recommended-Helmet chin strap must be Nomex neck collar mandatory. (Helmet restraints recommended)
Uniforms and Fire Control

All drivers must wear driving suit of fire resistant material that effectively covers the body Minimum requirements are single layer Nomex underwear, gloves and Nomex helmet skirt recommended. Uniforms must be clean and in good repair. Soiled, tom, worn, or poorly fitting uniforms will not be allowed. (All race trucks must have an approved fire extinguisher mounted within reach of the driver or onboard fire control system.

General Safety

A quick release five-point safety belt, no less 3 inches wide is mandatory .All belts must have a date stamp no older that 3 years. Seat belt and shoulder harness must be securely bolted to the frame of the truck or roll cage with aircraft quality bolts and has a 1/8-inch diameter safety cable plastic coated attached to the end of the belts, then attached to the roll cage. All trucks are required to have an approved window net in the driver's windows at all times when the truck is on the track. Recommended minimum window screen size will be 22-inches by 16-inches of rib type nylon material. Window screen mounts must be welded to the roll cage at the bottom of the window with a minimum 5/16inch steel rod and secured at the top according to manufacture recommendation. No mesh type window nets allowed.

Battery

Battery must be located behind driver’s seat in bed area but in front of the rear end, and must be securely mounted with an angle iron frame on top and bottom battery must not be mounted below frame rails. No Exception!
