Nascar member
I read the rules for the pure stock racing. The rules state that you must be
a nascar member. How do you become a nascar member? I am interested in
racing. I would like to build a car and race in the 2002 season.

2001 Driver Roster?
Hello,
I am trying to get a hold of a roster of drivers for this 2001 race season. You only have a roster for the 2000 race season on your web page. How could I get such a roster?
Thanks.
A complete driver roster for 2001 will be posted as soon as it's complete. Unfortunately, an accurate roster won't be right until we see who shows on raceday!!

new driver
My son wont's to race this year. He has a car that one
of his teachers gave him that has race be for. Is
there a place that that we can go to learn more about
what can an cannot be done and how to get his lessons
to race on the track.ect.
thanks

MY SUGGESTION FOR YOUR SON AND YOURSELF WANTING TO LEARN ABOUT DRIVING THAT CAR YOU MENTIONED IS TO COME TO OUR FRIDAY RENTALS, WHEN WE HAVE THEM, AND PICK A FEW BRAINS. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THE PITS...AND THE INFO AND INPUT IS FREE...COME TAKE A LOOK SEE.

Duane
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Borovec Family. I pray that his
family will be comforted by the thought of how many people Duane has touch
through his friendship and endless support. As a coworker, the thought of
approaching another race season without "Boro" seems impossible and I'm sure
the same thoughts are with many. His contribution is evident at the track
and will be remembered with great appreciation. God speed. Bo and Becky

Hello there, I just visted the site an am "shocked" to hear about Duane.
I justed talked to him awhile ago about the new season for the Late Models. I knew he wasn't feeling to good but never expected that. "That hits hard!
He was a great person to deal with at the track and always had time to set up a practice for us and to talk about racing or what ever was on your mind. The Speedway has lost a good friend and a great person. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!!!!!!!
>From all of us here we would like to give our deepest sympathy to all the knew Duane and especially to his family.
Sincerely:
Michael Allen Carver #5

purstocks
do the purestocks have any scheduled qualifing nights?
Answer:IN RESPONCE TO JNJ3737...AS FAR AS I KNOW...THERE IS NO SCHEDULED PURE STOCK QUALIFYING...IT'S USUALLY A WAIT-N-SEE FORMAT, AND MOSTLY ON LIGHT PROGRAM NIGHTS WHEN TIME ALLOWS, OR IF A SPECIAL PROGRAM DICTATES IT.

I like the idea of having some weekends with no racing. It gives racers with
kids time to spend with them. It also gives drivers a chance to try other
tracks. It also gives a driver a break so they can enjoy racing.

No Racing
Tracks not having racing some Saturdays is nothing new. Madera has 5
Saturdays with no racing,Altamont has some too.The higher divisions dont
mind having a extra day of now and then.

I dont understand
To who ever is making the desicions; I think you are making a major mistake in not haveing races scheduled for like four weeks out of the year because normal fans are not use to haveing to look at a schedule to see if there is races. I have been going to the races for twenty years and I have never saw such a thing. You have better come up with some ideas on how to get for fans not push them away Kannai Scantlen # 8

Dear Webmaster:
If those dates were left out cause of conflicts then why is there a major
conflict between your DOUBLE POINTS night and Madera's SOUTHWEST TOUR...both
on July 28th. Do you think something might be done to fix this so that
drivers running latemodels that would like to try and race the SWT can? Thank
You..

good luck

Good luck! I think it was a bad, bad thing to let the Tri -track go, you are
going to lose a lot of drivers. Not only did you let the Tri-Track go, you
put Gross back in control. That's two strikes against you.

------------------------
I'm happy to print your opinion. The three tracks tried to keep the series alive, but for a number of reasons it didn't survive. Our new schedule will be like having 3 tri-tracks at Stockton a month. The majority of responses recieved are thrilled with that very fact. Any drivers that chose not to run, certainly may do that, but they'll be hard pressed to find a more competitve field and purse money that matches. Duane Borovec is still our track manager and Ken Gross will run the LMS division, just like he ran the TRI-Track series for the last 3+ years. We think the new schedule and line-up for 2001 are a definite HOME RUN!

Tracks
Get in free aye? I would not be getting in free dummy, I would pay the 35
dollar non member fee and run for the money like everyone else.  Being a
smart ass wont bring in any new drivers.
Answer: Sorry for being a smart ass. I'm NOT the track manager and like I said, I forwarded the message to him for you. On the other hand the close to 100 drivers a night that have NASCAR licenses probably wouldn't appreciate someone not having a license. The license also covers the liability aspect of running the program. I hope you see my point more clearly and decide to come run at the track.
