point system
hello, I work on one of the western late model cars at your track and I was wondering if you would be able to send me soming to show me the points system. Something to show how the series points are awarded for finishes in heats, dashes and so on. If you could do this me and my team would be thankful. Thank you.

Here's the point system straight out of the track's weekly program!

Can you tell me the cause of death of Fred Tice - Jan. 7, 2000? I was a very long time friend of his and would like to know what happened to him. I appreciate any information. Thank you.

Fred died of Cancer. He was a good friend and a close part of the Speedway family.

Thank you for the email back regarding how Fred Tice died. With no doubt he was a true and loyal friend to you all. I appreciate the information and will be sure to look up his parents in New Jersey this July.

Thank you and God Bless, Sue Tempest

Hats off to Steve Belletto...
I was at the Southwest Tour race this past weekend at Mesa Marin and watched Steve get the last transfer spot to the A-main from the B-main. He then picked his way through traffic and ended up finishing 4th after starting in dead last (30th). Great job Steve. You're the man.

How is scoring done.
Please explain how the points are awarded for each event. Why is the HWLM dash different than the other classes?

Season Opener
Stockton 99 Speedway:
I would like to express my thanks to all of you at Stockton 99 for a great weekend of racing. It's always a pleasure to deal with your friendly and accommodating staff. The facilities are in great shape and the additions to the pits, lighting and track surface were a very welcomed improvement. Our team enjoys visiting the facility the few times we get to race there each year. Thanks again and have a great season.

MY QUESTION IS HOW CAN I LOCATE A RULE BOOK, INCLUDING THE SPECS/ DIAGRAMS MENTIONED IN THE RULES ON YOUR WEB PAGE. ALSO ANY INFORMATION ON LICENSING AND REGISTRATION. ALSO I KNOW HOW A DRAG RACE EVENT RUNS, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF YOU GO THROUGH TECH, HOW MUCH A ENTRY FEE IS. ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Claim Rule
I have been reading the 2002 rules package for Pure Stock. I am planning on running at some point this year, but would like more information on this rule. For instance, does it mean that if I have a strong engine, that I've put money into, that any driver finishing the main event on the lead lap, and is in the top ten in points, may claim my engine for $450? Or is there more to it than that?

wlm fuel
To all Western Late Model Competitors:
In response to the numerous inquiries about fuel, the SPEC (required) fuel for the Western Late Model Series at Stockton 99 Speedway is UNOCAL 110 octane (orange). Fuel will be available at the track for purchase, but fuel purchase at the track is not mandatory. Fuel will be checked periodically, and randomly. Any competitor with questions about the legality of their fuel, are recommended to have it checked prior to competing.

Need Pure Stock
I am looking for a pure stock to run this year. Does anyone have one for sale, or have information on one for sale somewhere?
I am looking into racing in the pure stock division. How do I go about obtaining a nascar license, and what is the registration fee. As I understand, the fees last year were $25 per race.

Re: WLM shocks&spoilers

Western Late Model competitors,

In reply to the numerous inquires on shocks and spoilers, the rules state' one piece non-revalvable shocks only. In the effort to keep costs down, it has been determined that shocks that are revalveable by the manufacturer (ie. Bilstin), by the competitor (ie. penske) are considered REVALVEABLE, and are therefore deemed illegal for competition in the Western Late Model division. The spoiler rule says: A non-adjustable rear spoiler not exceeding 6-1/2 in. in ht. and 60 in. in total length may be attached to the trailing edge of the trunk lid only, no side air dams. Required that the top 3-1/2 in. the rear spoilers be of 1/4in. flat CLEAR polycarbonate.
Thank you
