$$$$$$$$$$$ Hundred Dollar Bonus $$$$$$$$$$$

Stockton "99" Speedway……The announcement came at the drivers meeting Saturday night to the stock front clip Western Late Model Division that $100 bills will be handed out to eligible competitors. The NASCAR DODGE WEEKLY SERIES race teams were a "buzz" with the news. "Wow this is great news", said one driver "this is what makes Stockton "99" Speedway the place to race, they really do care about the racer".

The HAVOLINE sponsored speedway devised the bonus money program to intice the competitors to race on a more frequent basis. "It’s all about car count" said speedway management, "we are committed to do what it takes to continue to be the premier facility on the west coast". With the uncertain economy affecting the car count, the speedway has made a commitment to do it’s part to assist increasing the car count.

Here’s how it works; beginning June 28th if a car competes in two consecutive events they will receive $100 in addition to the already sizable purse. This means, if a competitor competes on June 28th and comes back to race the prestigous "HOTWOOD Tri-Holiday Classic Firecracker 100" on Thursday July 3rd, they will receive an additional $100. This brings the grand total available to the winner of the "Firecracker 100" to $4,100. This bonus will continue each time the athlete competes in succesive races for the duration of the 2003 regular season. If a team misses an event, they simply have to run two more events in succession to capture the $100 bonus.

"Bring it on" said current championship points leader Eric Schmidt of Roseville CA, "I look forward to the expanded car count, now everyone will be at Stockton". Veteran racer Harry Belletto added "This bonus extends the oppurtunity to all caliber of racers to compete week after week". The ¼ mile speedway offers exciting door to door racing that keeps the race fans on the edge of their seat lap after lap.
